Ants were surveyed at the Ohoopee Dunes Natural Area and the Ohoopee Dunes Preserve in Emanuel Co., Georgia. Seventy-seven species were collected from the dunes including a new state record, Paratrechina phantasma Trager, and a distinctive species of Forelius that appears to be undescribed. Native ants dominated the sites, with exotic species generally being relegated to disturbed areas along the margins of the sites.
