Two new generic synonyms of Eoscarta Breddin, 1902 (Hemiptera: Cercopoidea: Cercopidae) are proposed: Eoscarta Breddin, 1902 = Lora Distant, 1908 (Type species: Aphrophora inclyta Walker, 1858) = Aphrophorias Kirkaldy, 1910 (Replacement name for Lora Distant [1908] nec Lora Gistel [1948]) (senior synonym first). One new species combination, Eoscarta inclyta (Walker, 1858), comb. nov. is established. The diagnosis of Eoscarta is given and an autapomorphy of the genus is proposed. Eoscarta rufa (Walker, 1870) and Eoscarta (Keducarta) impressa (Walker, 1870) are transferred to Haematoscarta and Hemiliterna, respectively, and two new species combinations, Haematoscarta rufa (Walker, 1870), comb. nov. and Hemiliterna impressa (Walker), comb, nov., are erected.
